Fire Chiefs
The chiefs of the department are responsible for all operations of the department. They are elected annually by the membership of Carmel Fire Department and approved by the Board of Fire Commissioners. Their duties include fire ground operations, in-service training and education, fire reporting, recruitment of new members, and continued evaluation of the agency and its programs and planning and for future service needs.
The chiefs include the Chief of the department, First Assistant Chief and Second Assistant Chief.
